Description
Our Ecotec sleeved blocks start with your choice of generation of block and bore size. Depending on the block generation we either pull the stock sleeves out(GEN 1/GEN 2) or bore them out and machine a step (GEN 3) and then install our OTTP sleeves. GEN 3 blocks cost more to sleeve because they require machine work in one of our CNC mills but they are stronger than GEN 1 and GEN 2 blocks. The OTTP sleeves we install are made from a custom blend of ductile iron and are much harder than a factory sleeve. They can handle the abuse of a steel top ring and high cylinder pressure.
GEN 1/GEN 2 is lost foam cast L61,LSJ,LE5,LNF with the open deck. These are recommended to a max of 600whp.
GEN3 is the newer sand cast with cylinder supports for a semi-closed deck.
Cores sent to us must be clean or you will be charged $80 for a hot tank cleaning service. Finished blocks will be sent back to you ready for your machine shop to deck the surface and hone the cylinders to fit your pistons.
